Or money to have your own insurance. Or security. Places I know have a facilities use fee and in my district if you're hustling people out of money, best believe they want a hefty cut, low-income be damned.
That being said, I usually run STEM sessions, mainly LEGO Robotics, for the little ones in the summer. Easy $1000 for what amounts to a few hours work.

My old boss went into early retirement. He used to do the same thing u did. Computer based tech for kids. Made enough and decided to offer the service during the school year. Now schools PAY HIM to come offer services at their after school
camps. Dude literally went from doing computer repair to bringing in so much independent money from individual schools to forming contracts with districts to roll out his program.
Did a mobile technology camp. Pimped out a 500 school bus with computers and hired somebody to ride it around to schools and after school programs. Kids loved getting on and learning coding and game building.
My boss and his wife retired at 45.
