it all started when the HBCUs was getting its funding from CACs..

Then the boule wanted to remember their roots, during the Civil Rights movement.. HBCUs supported the movement, then them white people pulled their funding..

when you realize that your own people won't support you...... Then I guess you have to go back to square one..

now we're here..

A lot of HBCUs were founded by White people. Sigma Pi Phi is the oldest Black Greek-lettered organization - and most of them came from the top PWIs in the nation and were doctors/PhD holders.

White people attending HBCUs in pretty limited numbers (save for the WV ones) has nothing to do with the civil rights movement - it has to do with the ubiquity of college education in the US.
