Here is the thing— just because a practice isn’t Christian or Abrahamic doesn’t mean it is demonic.
This is my fukking issue with White ppl. They run around the globe co-opting other people’s practices and customs and when it “no longer serves them” it’s suddenly demonic. Nah, you shouldn’t have been doing that shyt to begin with! If it originated from Hinduism then let it stay with Hindus!
Naw; that shyt is born out of a spiritual practice that IS NOT YOURS. It is literally defined as a spiritual discipline! There are things that come with that practice that may not align with you because you don’t fully adhere to the principles and practices of Hinduism.
I’ve never been drawn to yoga. Yes, sure at this point many of its individual stretches and moves have been co-opted and used as warm-ups or cooldowns in western countries’ exercise programs, but aside from that I’ve never walked into a yoga studio or dedicated any time to it.
If one is interested and wants to try it, cool.
But to literally have millions upon millions of White women going on and on about yoga for DECADES and now suddenly it’s demonic, etc.
Naw; it was never for you. Imagine going to India and telling a bunch of ppl minding their own business that their practice is demonic when YOUR ppl are literally the ones who have ravaged the globe.
Different people from different regions have different beliefs and cultures. It doesn’t make them demonic. No one told you to adopt a literal spiritual practice because it looked like something cool to try.
Learn what something is before incorporating it into your life.
