What type of bar are you visiting that allows dogs inside
Shyt has been poppin' for the past several years....it's to the point where if a bar isn't dog friendly (inside, and especially outside/patio, etc.), the establishment gets a black eye.
I've been at a spot
for business purposes and watched hostesses let the dog lick their face and fingers and then bring out food 
It's now a norm. I've tried to get into logical discussions about the the sanitary, health and safety issues this poses with white folks, and mostly I leave the discussion like
... they don't back down off that shyt. No city is immune. I've been trying to tell these dudes. they think it can't happen to their city ...until it does.
