I think it's possible there's some lasting repercussions for what Activision has done with Warzone. They have really antagonized their player base since the launch of Warzone 2 and it honestly feels intentional. I don't know what other explanation there could be for what they've been doing.
It's COD, so you never know, but that new release in the fall will probably see quite a decline in sales numbers compared to MW2. They have A LOT of work to do to regain any credibility or trust.
