Have you lost your mind breh? I know stanning on this board is out of control but micro-transactions and paying for parts of the game should never be acceptable. Whether it is GT or Forza the fact that you are accepting, condoning or in your case justifying these actions is unbelievable. Unless you're working for Turn 10 Studios you are a lost man.
First we're paying for online, then we're paying for unnecessary DLCs which should already be included in the game and now we have to pay to further advance in the game. I'll admit that I haven't played Forza 5 and am not sure if there is a big disadvantage if you don't pay.. but even if it isn't it's just a first step for ripping people of in the next game/iteration.

That's the problem and you are listening to a bunch of people who have not played the game either.
In any Forza game it takes a long time to make enough money for the real competition race cars. That's the point of the game you race your way up to those cars. The only difference with Forza 5 is that they allow you to skip that grind if you want to spend real life cash on them.
Play the game like its supposed to be played and you never have to pay real money to unlock cars.

Because from my understanding there are certain cars that are locked behind a pay wall and can only be bought with real money, and there are certain cars that not only cost money but must be bought in packs (with 4 other cars) for some of the more "desirable" cars
if I'm wrong tell me, but from watching and reading reviews that's what it sounds like.
If there are NO CARS locked behind a pay wall then I'll change my tune.
None of the cars on the disc are behind a paywall. Obviously you have to pay for DLC cars.
The only difference between Forza 4 and 5 is that in 5 you can pay real life money for in game currency
So how many cars on the disc 200? We're talking day one DLC right? (that's available right now)
There are 200 cars on disc and I think only 4 available as DLC right now.
So what's this about buying packs of cars that can't be opened individually? are these reviewers talking about cars that will be available? Upload a quick video of going through the DLC because in this video by game trailers seems to indicate other wise
When you buy a DLC car, you still have to use in game currency in order to buy it for use in your career, just like any of the other cars. They come in packs, but I believe you can buy them individually if you want.

Dude. A company creates a product. If you like it you buy it. If you don't like it you leave it alone. To call someone stupid because they find value in something that you don't is a bit pretentious, don't you think?

With that being said, the enjoyment i get out of the game is worth it. Like it or not this will be the new model of the next gen going on ALL PLATFORMS. If you would rather commit suicide than pay for extra content, consider copping a Playstation 2.
