that name tho, Palessi :mjlol:

:salute: to Payless

now all they have to do is add the life story of some Italian faq designer to really make it official :francis:

my pops always likes to tell this story about his uncle.

he went into a store and was checking out some blazers. the salesman told him it was like $85 or some shyt. Unc said, "nah, I dont really like it, shyt aint my speed"
salesman went in the back and got the same blazer in a different color and told him this one is $500. Unc was like "now ya talkin!" :dead:

make shoes that look like they are held together with hot glue, white out, and hopes and sell them to idiots with more money than sense. people would be better off buying payless shoes, modifying them a bit and giving them a made up name than rocking a pair of homeless specials, or someones lucky sport shoes they've had since 92
have you ever rocked payless shoes? i have when i was a little kid and them shyts fall apart ASAP. and ALL shoes are put together with glue/cement and stitching. how else do you think they get the pieces together?
you guys don't have the money to spend thats why you wouldn't spend it.
these "designer" shoes are popular because they look different and everybody has different tastes. I own a few because nike or puma does not make that shoe design so if i want that design I have to get the "designer".

no. they are popular because egotistical classicism cac culture. when people have money, they have to have a way to show and prove to others that they have money. whether it is to symbolize they are among elite, to look down on the less fortunate, or to simply fit in. the most notable way to do this is to use name brands or symbols. if you are walking around in the hood with designer gear then either its fake or you are about to go to jail. In that world, a jacket can cost more than a decent used car. the quality isnt different. yeah, Payless has some low quality shoes, but Sketchers makes better quality shoes than Gucci and they probably cost the same amount to produce.

just because you have the money dont mean you would spend it on whatever. I saw Broner's press conference the other day and he had on a Gucci belt and jacket. Just those 2 items alone can be as much as $5k. I have never seen Bernard Hopkins wear shyt like that. They said he rather walk 3 blocks than pay for parking and its likely that he is worth considerably more than Broner. Not judging either lifestyle but designer clothing is mostly style over substance so I cant subscribe to the narrative that if you have it you will spend it indiscriminately.

So I could buy low cost shyt like this in bulk and open up a store charging premium prices?
:ohhh:

Picture saving up about 10 racks, buying a bunch of shoes in bulk that you like on a site like Alibaba or AliExpress, getting a custom label/design placed on every last one of them, then selling each shoe for 300 - $600
