I had an m11x laptop with a 1gb gpu that made fallout new vegas look better than the 360 version. That machine is like 4 years old now and a piece of shyt

In motion the difference is ridiculous. On here they look almost the same. The difference in framerate, clarity, aliasing and all other effects that are more pronounced when the game is in front of you make all the difference.

The other thing with youtube is it compresses vids to 30fps. If you could see the game running in 60fps in comparison to the 360, it'd def run extra laps.
Graphics are crazy on the 360, but they definitely aren't matching PC's, especially the textures. Alot of the lighting for the 360 was flatter too. PC just has more details period.

Thing is can you honestly look at the clip and say that there is an "enormous" difference in graphics between the two? I mean we all know pc games look better all im saying is lets not bullshyt the difference.
In that vid, there isn't an absolute apparent difference, but if you know what you're looking for, you'll definitely spot differences.
Some games don't really push the gap or showcase the differences, but for a lot of games, there actually is. I don't feel like searching but if you can find a vid of Skyrim with the hi-res pack Bethseda released and 360/Ps3 footage, there's a huge difference. The amount of detail that goes into some of these games gets crazy, and that's where a lot of the graphical separation comes into play(as well as them looking like that while moving at 60fps). Physics, anti aliasing, textures...
It's just a whole new world breh

I think consoles have put an invisible ceiling on PC gaming potential. CryENGINE is one of the best out there and crytek is struggling to stay afloat because developers don't want to use it because consoles can't run it efficiently. All the best looking games that have came out or are coming out use this engine, Evlove, Star Citizen, Far Cry, etc. But its very taxing on consoles which is why a lot of these had to install separate texture packs for consoles on their games. Crytek has had to tweak their engine and even dumb it down a bit so that console developers don't shy away from it.
Basically the PC Master Race has had to give up its graphics capabilities in its games so that the console gamers can share in its greatness.

I was thinking the same thing but collectively between all of use you can get a lot of valuable information and experience that if anything lower the amount of ignorance to the subject.
So yes, maybe the OP was just making a troll thread but a lot of the information and opinions that it will produce are valid. You may think that the best way to fight a troll thread is to ignore it, but a better way to fight a troll thread is to turn it into a constructive thread.

The fact that console heads in this thread consider 1080p 60fps "high end gaming" is hilarious...
That shyt is pretty much entry level for PC gaming...if it can't do that then I just don't even see how one could consider it a gaming rig...
Somebody in here said that there is not a big difference in 1080p to 4k...when it is literally 4 times the pixels on the screen at once...you obviously wouldn't be able to tell setting 5 feet away from a 60 inch tv...but sitting 1 foot away from a 30 inch monitor it is very noticeable...
If you want pre packaged, dictated, play it like the developer wants you to play it, scared of doing a little work yourself...game on a console
If you want to get the absolute most out of a game and are willing to go through some trial and effort,.have some money to burn and some time to put in...go ahead and get your master race on...
People talking about the cost of PC gaming...but they will drop 500 on a locked down console system that they can't modify in any way shape or form without breaking their warranty, and then get blitzed to death with pay for play DLC, adopt it early only to get red and yellow ringed to death..cats out here acting like they didn't have to buy the 360 multiple times do to the red ring...cat's out here acting like they didn't cop a ps3 that was backwards compatible...and did support linux...and then after sony got the install base they wanted...straight up removed linux...straight up did away with backwards comparability...

Meanwhile...I'll cop Simcity on PC...be patient...and cop free mods that make the game much better than any DLC the devs drop...
