I think about jumping into PC gaming sometimes but at the end of the day its like..."Do I really want to pay this much money just for video games?"

It cost a minimum of 700 to 800 bucks just for something decent...Not great but just decent.

And these graphics cards bruh...I seen a graphic card called Titan X that cost 1200 US dollars, and I'm like :dwillhuh: what does that do exactly that warrants that price tag.
I have 2 of those Titan Xs. They're for the hardcore of the hardcore. I use em to run 5K games. If you're just going for 1080p, get a 1070. No need to pay extra for a 1080 or a Titan X P. Those cards are only for enthusiasts.

A 1060 is good enough for 1080P/60fps on most games at console or above settings paired with an I5 at least(I5 6600).

Yeah, that's true, but the 1070 is more future proof. It all depends on what you want :manny:

You can build something decent for $600.

Don't fall into the @Ciggavelli trap. That dude is trying to set up Skynet out there in the DC area. Pay attention folks, there is a reason he moved closer to the white house.

As a person that's having random PC problems right now.

Consoles>>>>>>>>>>>
Don't do this. You were using an HP and tricked it out to a gaming PC. That doesn't count and most who are into PC gaming don't take that route.

A new $400 Skylake i5 Acer would be easier to manage than that HP I am sure of it.

Now I use to ride with consoles hard because consoles use to get exclusive titles more so then pc. But now I feel like that gap is changing the fact I can play both killer instinct and street fighter 5 and mod the shyt out of it and play it the way I want to play it is an option consoles will never have. Pc's have the ultimate backwards compatibility, have the better looking games, don't have to worry about paying no yearly fees to go online, and now that all Xbox games will be playable on it going forward you really cannot lose if you have yourself a decent rig. When it's all said and done pc will still be around when consoles eventually go extinct it's happening right before our eyes and there becoming more like pcs.

:blessed:What a time to be a pc gamer

Crazy because my son and nephew perfer PC gaming than consoles because of the features and more games. They love the wide-screen monitor/better graphics/mods for WWE2K/Being able to play old games at any time.
Don't you have to tweak the graphics if you have a modern gaming PC to play old games?

Like for Example lets say I copped a brand new Alienware Desktop after I set it up I could pop in "Max Payne" and it will work?

I use to game on PC about 16 years ago when I was a kid and just simply getting the game to work was a PITA at the time, I remember I couldn't play two games at once cause both games had different graphic requirements :mjcry:

Steam changed the game, PC gaming is now plug and play for the most part.

some older games have compatibility issues, but you can usually find a fix if you look around

Did you say you do UX testing or research? How do I get my foot in the door? :mjcry:
Yup. You gotta have a master's degree first. No good UX company will hire you without one. Get it in Human Factors or Psychology (I/O, Applied Cognition, or Social Psych to be specific [mine is in I/O]) . I got a PhD in the social sciences too, which helped with my new job, but you don't have to have one, necessarily. A master's is a requirement though (shyt, our intern is working for free and she already has a BA, and is working toward her MA).

If you already have a master's, I can rattle off some companies to apply to. My last job loves people fresh off a degree.
