1. Better performance/The ability to tweak performance. Mods.

2. Late 2020. Decided to go PC instead of the PS5

3. The only console I’ve touched in the past few years is the Switch. I’ve barely touched it since 2023, and my Steam Deck is my preferred mobile option at this point

4. I really don’t see myself getting another console unless there’s an exclusive that isn’t available to PC…I tend to prefer CRPGs so it’s unlikely that will ever happen

1. What lead you make the jump?

I wanted to mod 2k and have more racing game options. Then while doing research I learned about frame rates and all of the other benefits.

2. When did you switch?

Black Friday 2022

3. What percentage of your gaming was done on pc versus console in 2025?

90/10 PC

4. Will you buy the next Xbox and/or PS?

Nope

1. Better games/graphics I wanted to play at the time (2012). Legit only console games I played were Halo and FIFA and both were turning into hot garbage. Also, most single player PC games u can get for free :lolbron:
2. Late 2012. Around October. Made my first build and never looked back :wow:
3. 100% PC. I have my nephews PS5 chilling ( he gave it to me for free after I build his PC) for when GTA 6 comes out and I'm still on the fence if I even wanna play it or just wait for PC release. Consoles really are :flabbynsick:
4. Hell fukking no. What for? PC has it all :blessed:

1. What lead you make the jump?

There weren't any experiences like BF2, 1.6 / CSS, etc, on console at the time.

2. When did you switch?

mid 2000s.

3. What percentage of your gaming was done on pc versus console in 2025?

50/50. Would be a lot more PC if my set up was outside my office and I wasn't wfh.

4. Will you buy the next Xbox and/or PS?

No reason to anymore. Everything's multiplatform.

For me:
1. I wanted to play game at 4k/60

2. I made the jump in 2019

3. I’d say it was 95% pc in 25, will likely be 99% this year.

4. More than likely no, as all the Xbox games come day 1 to pc, and I’m cool with waiting 1-2 years for Sony titles to drop on pc.

@Leasy @Fatboi1 @Barnett114
1 and 2) Not sure I'd call it a jump since I've always been on PC. I didn't own a console until like 8 years ago (PS4. I won it in a competition) and I barely ever used it. I gave it away after a few months lol.

3) 100%
4) Highly unlikely. the benefits of PC just faaaar outweighs that of using a console. better performance, better customizability, easier to upgrade/future proof, etc. I have no problem waiting a year for Sony exclusive titles.

1. What lead you make the jump? PC gamepass/ steam basically making the pc able to run everything.
2. When did you switch? Some time during Covid
3. What percentage of your gaming was done on pc versus console in 2025? 100% PC
4. Will you buy the next Xbox and/or PS? I’m probably getting a PS5 Pro for GTA6 then trading it in once it releases on PC.

1 and 2) got a gaming laptop in 2023

3) don't game much in general anymore but I buy the majority of my games on Microsoft store or now Steam

4) No I didn't even find this current generation of consoles interesting enough to pay a subscription for online play, which was another reason I went away from consoles in general. Most of the games I enjoy heavily playing are not games I play the online mode of. Either too much cheating or too many microtransactions. As a casual gamer now, I'm not competing with anyone for some global ranking. I just want to enjoy what I'm playing dolo.

Also another reason I said fukk consoles is a lot of the games seemed to require online for multi-player, roping you back into a subscription.

I dunno who thought it was a good idea to have a game where your friends or family couldn't play a video game with you, and it requires a second console instead of just another controller, but they can go to hell :camby:

Any social aspect of gaming should be in person first and foremost.

1. Wanted to start modding since it was getting frustrating playing certain games a certain way. Cyberpunk is the biggest example. Game is transformative with mods. There were also other games I wanted to play that weren't on consoles.
2. During the pandemic. Had some cash on hand from being at home and not having to spend it everywhere, so I got in after my two friends did.
3. Last year was a wash for PlayStation. Did most of my gaming on PC. I only buy games on PS5 now that are exclusives or games I don't feel like modding.
4. I legit plan on getting a PS5 PRO this year or next for Wolverine. fukk all that waiting shyt. :russ:

4. FUCCC NO. Unless GTA 6 is REALLY that damn good. But as long as gta6b taking to drop they might as well do the pc drop around the same time

1. What lead you make the jump?

Starfield was dropping and I wasn't buying an Xbox. I also wanted to play Cyberpunk 2077 with mods after update 2.0 (my modded playthrough is easily a top 5 gaming experience I've ever had).

2. When did you switch?

Fall of 2023, iirc.

3. What percentage of your gaming was done on pc versus console in 2025?

All RPGs are played on PC unless it isn't day one on Steam. I probably spent more time on the PS5 last year due to a couple of exclusives.

4. Will you buy the next Xbox and/or PS?

Absolutely. I still play my PS5 & I'm not waiting 1.5 - 2 years to play games like Ghost of Yotei and Death Stranding 2.

1. I was always into pc gaming because of emulation. So I always had one for that purpose. The fact that you can play almost every single game ever made on decent hardware is a no brainer for me.

2. I would say around when the ps4 pro and one x came out pc became a full replacement for my microsoft gaming fix over Xbox. I still have a series X but it hardly gets used. It’s mainly my PS5 and gaming laptop at my desk.

3. 70 percent of gaming is on PC since I use it for fighting games, JRPGs, character action games, mmos, and emulation. 30 percent goes to my PS5 since that’s where I play sports, fps and exclusives on.

4. I’m defintely getting a PS6 since I still like playing sports games on console as well as fps and exclusives also it’s better for local multiplayer. No point in getting a new Xbox since I’ll wait until I need to get another pc which will be another gaming laptop plus I can do other things besides gaming. I don’t really care to have a desktop since I like the portability aspect of a gaming laptop and the fact that I can take thousands of games with me. I have like one 4tb hard drive worth of games along with two 2tb ssds.
