The 7850K is a little high at $180 tbh. If you are willing to drop that much on a CPU just give me a few...you can get a core i5 for that price, but won't be able to play games right now.I think I may go with that new apu @Liquid suggested since I dont need a good gpu right now for games. Seems like its the cheapest move with the best results.

Or you can get a 750K and a $130 gpu for about $20 more and be good.
..had this pc for a long time but it got the job done with the music.i7 is better for music breh. That hyper threading goes a long way. Also what audio interface do you have?Word.. I just need to be able to do music with the pc...games wasnt the priority it was just something I might want to get into maybe later..I figure if I'm gonna drop money on a new pc I might as well get something that leaves the option open.
Not sure if you are familiar with music production but I need to be able to run VSTs like Goliath/nexus2/massive through FL studio.
My old pc was a amd phenom 830 II quad-core with a radeon HD 4200..had this pc for a long time but it got the job done with the music.
