Your analogy with the cat I think isn't right. Think more along the lines along a celebrity who does want other people to look them in the eye because if they do the celebrity will get mad. First paragraph is a good point. I personally take the method of just ignoring what won't affect me instead of trying to challenge bullshyt ideas. But it's necessary to have people that challenge.

Again, I'm not tolerant of religion. I think religion is The most anti-humanity construct that exists. But I don't believe in shyt like "hate crimes" or "domestic violence", these weird abstractions we place around assault and murder. A man assaulting his wife is wrong because it was an assault, why do we need a separate categorization?

So their "savagery" is no different than anyone else's.


I just don't understand the point of poking a tiger with a stick. Like the idea of "protesting" by doing something you know offends someone is strange.

But at the same time, weren't the sit ins during the civil rights movement just as offensive to segregationists? I'll need to think about this more.
