What exactly makes Sweet Potato great? Sweet Potato is really hit or miss for me I just don't think it's that special .

Most people that I know don't make it right. My mom will make sure that the sweet potatoes are well mashed, adds butter, canned milk and the sugar/spices.
other than that, I have yet to have a sweet potatoe pie not my mom's that isn't disgusting. Especially when it has that sweet potato stringy shyt or the crust is not cooked, it's all soggy

Matter of fact a corner store around my way is selling those same mini Walmart pies (pecan, lemon etc) but charging a $1 instead.
