Legacy prospects are killing sports.
They are too clean cut and media groomed before they can develop a personality so they end up boring robots.
We need more first gen athletes from the hood like LeBron and Chennedy Carter to keep the game exciting.
It’s over for that if you don’t have 2 parents or a strong team behind you the scouting services won’t rank you they not letting hood kids slip through anymore Wall was the last one just think about all the “young stars” and they background all came from good homes and prep school

It’s still very much the sport of the hood; the issue is those kids don’t have the money for AAU and individualized training to get the exposure necessary. Basketball is being gentrified, especially at the college level, but it’s still very popular in the hood

I believe Ja Morant will disagree with this.

sports in general are quickly becoming if not already have become a rich man's son & daughter activity. With a lot of public school sports programs being cut, you're going to see mostly upper middle class & rich kids only being able to afford youth sports.

Straight from Flatbush
it makes sense athletes from better pedigrees are taking over

professionals birthing professionals

it's becoming a family business

coming from a broken family makes everything more difficult

Basically if you coming from the hood your talent has to be literally generational where they can’t ignore it.. In that aspect they will quickly get you from out of the hood and into a prep school where your stock will rise even more
