The Pelicans could be an intriguing destination for the 32-year-old as the team could look at him as being another option if they are unable to bring back All-Star big man DeMarcus Cousins. The organization likely prefers to keep both Cousins and fellow All-Star Anthony Davis together given that the two have developed into an effective combo on the court.

Howard is still a highly dependable player are coming off a productive campaign where he averaged a double-double with 16.6 points and 12.5 rebounds along with 1.6 blocks in 81 games played. He could quickly form a formidable frontcourt duo with two premier rim protectors for the Pelicans next season and possibly beyond that.

I mean if we cant get boogie back he could be a good fit and probably get his touches. I feel like the pels need a defensive center and not a 7ft point-center. Obviously boogie is better than dwight but i feel he might cause problems trying to run the offense. We hit a good groove when rondo ran the offense with jrue off the ball. Even if we keep boogie hes a good bench option that will get playing time and he will be cheap. They dont play a fast offense so he wont slow them down either. What do yall think?

This would be horrible for Rondo. It’s one thing to have a point guard who struggles with his shot, it’s another thing to have a point guard who struggles with his shot while having a clogging big man in the post.

Rondo needs space and Dwight steals that away from him.

They were playing Emeka Okafor last year

I think thats a fixable problem. It would be a bigger problem if boogie wants to run pg and rondo doesnt let him. Boogie is sensitive and kinda does what he wants. When boogie was playing point rondo was coming off the bench. If they resign rondo hes starting next year. Could be a problem if boogie dont want to play down low

He played with Kendrick Perkins and Big Baby, as well as the other Cs that were on that squad. He can play with Dwight.

I'm positive him and Lebron aren't even cool like that
Probably not, but I bet Bron would rather have him than not have him.

Think I read Deandre Jordan is a FA this summer too, wonder if he gonna try to link with Bron

Deandre is trying to secure a long term bag otherwise he may just opt in to his deal...Only team I could see trying to sign Deandre is Dallas and they’d rather go after boogie.

New Orleans makes the weirdest moves. They've been recycling garbage bench players for years, especially guards.
