:yeshrug:

Embiid never gonna play a full season, Boogie might not either

Both are skilled enough on the perimeter to play together when they do

Im happy with Roco, Fultz and someone like Bridges at the 2 and 3 spots

But its definitely a weird one

not so quick.. theres more at math here than just a simple max contract vs short term contract

he'd be going from one of the lowest state tax incomed states in America to one of the highest..

example;

he can get taxed 13.3% state taxes in California, where its 6% max in New Orleans
I'd be surprised if any player has ever let taxes factor into a free agency decision.

Cousins should go to the Knicks.

KP and Boogie

Hot take season is early brehs.

:troll:
This could be eddy curry deja vu if that injury lingers for his career. Any other team wouldn’t want that to happen to them again. But since it’s the Knicks, this is gonna happen

He'll sign with the Pelicans on a 1+1 player option deal at about same rate of Holdiay and AD. It's for the best for both parties. Boogie gets to get his value up and return under limited play. Hopefully, he returns to form and maybe show max potential. If worst comes to worst... Boggie can get a max deal next year from us or another team. It allows us to make moves this off season aswell. Depth is important for a long season.

We actually don't know this. The team played better after he left and Mirotic came in; the Pels could've easily been the one left on the outside looking in with Denver and the Clippers.

They had also won 8 out of 10 right before he got hurt and were progressively getting better on both ends.

And considering they never played together, we don’t know if they would’ve been even better than they are now with Cousins + Mirotic

I would not expect that to go over well with Cousins' camp," Lowe wrote. "But the Pelicans have the dual leverage of winning without Cousins and a tepid market for him."

:snoop: We gassed off one series victory in ten years.

We are capped out and may lose Rondo, then Niko (2 yrs) and now they wanna lowball Boogie.

I'd say fukk that and go 2 the market.

The Pelicans either him or not. Too many paid bums (check Soloman Hills contract) 2try and play him.

If he's gonna play 4 less than the max then go 2 a contender.
