These corporations got you shook like that:huhldup:
i wouldnt mind medicare for all, but frankly i could do without it :yeshrug: my insurance is 400 a month, of which my company pays 310. i respect the dems effort on this, but they do not roll out cheap government programs. it just isn't true

so when i see the same party touting medicare for all, that won't stand and clap at the president saying "people should only come here legally"...my basic math radar goes off :mjlol:

Pelosi a california dem who was in the corps pockets before and still is.

She gets undue credit for "winning the house" and everyone acts like its okay that she had her tail between her legs for two years while her peers stood up and fought.

None of this surprises me. Its fortunate that universal healthcare is coming no matter what shills like Pelosi do in 2019.

Best part here. We are already spending $2.2 trillion on government paying healthcare. While the other $1.3 trillion is the private sector spending.

So yes, you can get to M4All with an employer mandate to raise revenues. And if you’re short, you can deficit spend a couple hundred billion.
the modern monetary theory can't be the answer while railing against the defense budget and american hegemony every other post. it hasn't been decreed from on high that america has to be the global economy’s reserve currency, it's something that has to be constantly tended to. it's why deals like the TPP were being signed. if you actually believe in this modern monetary theory you should be posting like nap when it comes to geopolitics.

This shyt is not rocket science. There are plenty of models that we can use to improve our NHE.

We need to look at the National Healthcare Expenditure as one big pot and decide how to most efficiently allocate the spending. Combine what is in the red and use bargaining power to reduce costs in blue.

It doesn't make sense to have Medicare, Medicaid, Out of Pocket, and Private Health insurance as separate sources of funding. Combine them into one and get the savings from cheaper admin costs. Use bargaining power to demand better pricing and services from hospitals, physician and drug makers.

NHE grew 3.9% to $3.5 trillion in 2017, or $10,739 per person, and accounted for 17.9% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Medicare spending grew 4.2% to $705.9 billion in 2017, or 20 percent of total NHE.
Medicaid spending grew 2.9% to $581.9 billion in 2017, or 17 percent of total NHE.
Private health insurance spending grew 4.2% to $1,183.9 billion in 2017, or 34 percent of total NHE.
Out of pocket spending grew 2.6% to $365.5 billion in 2017, or 10 percent of total NHE.

Hospital expenditures grew 4.6% to $1,142.6 billion in 2017, slower than the 5.6% growth in 2016.
Physician and clinical services expenditures grew 4.2% to $694.3 billion in 2017, a slower growth than the 5.6% in 2016.
Prescription drug spending increased 0.4% to $333.4 billion in 2017, slower than the 2.3% growth in 2016.

@Call Me James I'm not AOC :manny:

and I certainly dont take her statements at face value :manny:

And my criticism is more related to Pelosis "leadership" during the last two years, not since she's got the majority back.

Its a lot easier to lead when you are ahead than behind, but which shows more character?

The concerns seem irrelevant since she's going to be in the majority until she steps down. :yeshrug:
