I had kinda forgotten about this show, I lost my showtime password and it just drifted off my radar, I actually marathoned the final season over the past two days though and finished it earlier today.
It actually wasn't that bad of a *season*...considerably more focused than season 5 and 6. It just didn't feel *necessary*....outside of seeing Hank deal with having a son...this shyt didn't cover any new ground. And while I actually liked Levon....even this aspect of the season was kind of average because their relationship and growth of said relationship mostly revolved around shyt that Hank is just far too comfortable with (Prostitution, dealing with women, being a slacker, etc). I feel like they had an opportunity to really throw a massive curveball at him....but didn't because they wanted to "protect" Hank's "coolness". Imagine if Levon were like, you know, actually challenging for Hank to deal with (And not in a funny, 'oh he's kind of weird' type of way)? This is why, for as terrible as her delivery of lines is, I actually always felt like Becca was a net-positive for the program....because she called Hank out for his shyt and unlike Karen she wasn't as easy in forgiving him.
Speaking of Karen.....I've hard problems with her characterization for a couple of seasons now. but this season was her worst yet. At least in the past you actually got a sense that she had a life and career outside of Hank....this year she was literally *just* there to serve him and the plot. They actually ran with that whole "OMG, Karen's been in a completely random and perspective-building car accident" storyline....

I dunno, I just feel that her forgiving attitude ran it's course a long time ago and she's just basically been on cruise control or something.
Ultimately, the show should have ended here at the end of season 4 :
Although, I did like the last shot of the Porsche at the airport.
