My childhood.
I was the first dude with a Penny jersey. And the jersey was a lil too small, but I had to have it and ot was all they had at the store. Bought it, kids hated but once they finally caught on to Penny they shut up. Dudes were like, when did Tim Hardaway get traded to the Orlando Magic?
And I was the first dude to have his shoes. Not the shoes most of y'all remember, but the pair before that.
Penny and Grant Hill always were my top 2. Sad they both got cut short by injuries

I loved the Magic as a kid while everyone else were Bulls or Warriors fans in our North Oakland neighborhood. My pops was a Rockets/Warriors fan and wouldn't get me his Jersey. My dad being an ass, The only 2 basketball jerseys I was bought as a kid was a Hakeem jersey(wasn't mad at this cause it was the 95 jersey when it came out) and the ugly ass Jason Kidd Mavs jersey since he was from the town. Wouldn't own a Penny jersey till I could afford it
