Anyone can attend the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting who holds at least one share of stock. You may be wondering if you need to own an expensive $300,000 share of BRK.A stock. You don’t! In fact, you only need to own 1 share of BRK.B stock (around $200) to get the credentials to attend the meeting.
Your credential is a badge on a lanyard that you’ll wear around your neck in order to get into the CHI Health Center Omaha (formerly CenturyLink Center), where the meeting is held. Without this badge, you won’t be able to attend the meeting. If you plan on going, you’ll definitely want to ensure you’re in fact a shareholder. Jay-Z gained his riches by being literally one if the most exceptional people in the universe in his craft. He also married someone who is one of the most exceptional people at their craft.
His path is literally one in a million, if not more.
You have to ask yourself “what is his incentive to help me out?” The answer is there ain’t one. You have a business that can make him some money? So does everyone else he comes across. The ONLY way this makes sense is if you’re a rapper or content creator. Even then, you might be better of taking $50k and investing in your own stuff.
Look at Dusse Palooza. They aren’t any better off after linking with Jay-Z. They’re all still hustling and scraping for opportunities. Proximity to wealth and success doesn’t always mean it’ll be transferred to you, especially after one dinner.
