Do some charitable act to draw attention and host an event in a location they have ties to. Pledge to donate 25k to the charity and ask for sponsors to show up etc.
Some regular Joe donating 25k to a charity is easy PR for a lot of rich and famous people.
So you see, people who wouldn't take the 50k are demonstrating that they don't actually have the initiative and mind needed to make more money.
