Anyone else remember those two right wing tea party members that killed two cops in Las Vegas earlier this year? I don't remember the cops blaming Fox News, or the right wing press for this so how is this different?

The pair who fatally shot two Las Vegas police officers and one civilian before taking their own lives Sunday have “some apparent ideology that is along the lines of militia and white supremacists,” according to authorities.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Assistant Sheriff Kevin McMahill said at a press conference Monday that one of the suspects, 31-year-old Jerad Miller, left a swastika and a Gadsden flag -- which features a coiled snake with the words "Don't Tread on Me” -- on top of the body of Officer Alyn Beck, 41.

Jerad Miller also laid a note on the body of officer Igor Soldo, 31, that said “this is the beginning of the revolution,” McMahill said. Both officers were gunned down inside Cici’s Pizza Sunday during their lunch break.

The difference is that Ismaaiyl Brinsley's shootings was based on getting revenge for Eric Garner and Michael Brown as noted by Brinsley's note on Instagram, “I’m Putting Wings on Pigs Today,” a person believed to be the gunman wrote. “They Take 1 Of Ours . . . Let’s Take 2 of Theirs,” the post continued, ending with, “This May Be My Final Post.”

People eat it right up too. England had 2 unarmed officers ambushed by a man with a glock and real live grenades. Both officers died and you know what happened? The local police officers were polled and most said it was unfortunate - but they still didn't feel they needed to even be armed. This was right after 2 cops were shot and hit with grenade. Meanwhile it happens in NYC and police unions basically saying a war has been started. Completely by passing the fact NYPD officers die less than ever. These militarized American police departments want a war - but it's mental and one sided.

The second amendment is one of the many flawed ideas in that bill of rahts.

But people need to be more strategic when going against the cops. In Japan, they are trying to release actual androids as law enforcement in a few years. Imagine if that shyt comes to the states. We would have Terminators as cops.

But this is just making it worse.
I can't empathize as much because I'm Asian (as in from Asia, not Asian American), but I don't want to see more innocent young black kids getting shot because cops are paranoid and on a hair trigger/power trip. There is no progress when you're stepping backwards.
These white cops already have a low level of education, high stress levels and probable inherent prejudice. You don't want to give em a blatant pass to start offing innocent blacks.
But I can't truly see it through your eyes so perhaps this violent message is needed.

Part of me is satisfied by that, but them two cops weren't even white, from what I've read. They didn't shoot black kids either. But dead pigs are dead pigs

You have to consider: who will feel the recoil more in this? Black people, or a state and federally funded armed force which commonly 'investigates itself' to routinely clear itself of wrongdoing, and has been blessed with what amounts to immunity? These pigs are getting paid vacations while kids lie in the ground.

Meanwhile Hong Kong police members are getting fired, arrested and charged for kicking protesters during the peaceful protests. Perhaps.. the US police force needs to take a few fukking lessons on who they're meant to protect - the people, or themselves.

This is the latest news cycle. If there's a big fire then the next five fires that happened small or otherwise get covered and everyone thinks the world's burning down and runs out to buy up to date fire detectors and extinguishers when really the same amount of fires been happening.

Media's working people into a frenzy over this shyt. On the one hand, it's good we need to know. On the other, these talking heads gonna get people killed eventually. Get trigger happy cops even more nervous and get every suicidal breh thinking he gonna take two cops with him.

Well, I'm not saying sit back and take abuse, but there's gotta be other ways of getting the point across. This is the crux of the matter - how can you emphatically do so without causing a mad ruckus? That's for people more politically inclined than me to answer.
