People Are Up in Arms About This 'Peter Rabbit' Scene

Are that many people outraged, or is it a few people, and the media blows it out of proportion? It’s not that everything causes outrage as opposed to the past, it’s the presence of social media, and comments on articles that now allow us to see how people really feel.
it may be 3 weeks old but it is still having real effects in the world and in the lives of real people including me and my family.
as a result of this, i have not spoken to my parents or siblings for two weeks after we had a huge blowout about this.
3 days ago my manager threatened to fire me after we got into a heated discussion about this matter.
i'm willing to lose my family go over this and i'm prepared to lose my job as well.

me and my manager went at it again over this movie at work today.
we see the issues from opposite points of view and almost started yelling.
his wife called me (i never met her or gave her my number) when i got home and said she agrees with my point of view for the most part.
then she says that every time her and her husband talk about it, he winds up shutting her down by yelling.
so, she wants me to give her talking points to argue on the issues and the history behind it.
i still am not talking to my family because of this shyt.

my opinion is that the rabbits could have used the berries in a much more effective manner.
they obviously have the ability to think in terms of future plans.
they set traps and exploit unique weaknesses.
the rabbits obviously should have found a way to sneak the berries into his food or got it into his body while he slept.
they could easily have got some berry juice into his mouth or a couple of berries in his ass while he slept.
my family and my manager think otherwise.
they think that i am projecting a level of human malice to these rabbits that goes beyond what the movie calls for.
these idiots think that i am over anthropomorphizing these cgi animals that actually do posses very human qualities!
i have simply brought their abilities, intentions and survival instincts to their logical conclusions.
i have given them many examples throughout human history when people put in such danger have acted the way i think the rabbits should have...all out war in the name of survival.
and even if you take out the human qualities from these rabbits, the animal kingdom is brutal.
there is no way that these rabbits would pass up an opportunity to use those berries in the most effective way possible in ensure his death.
why can't they fukking see that?
