Who gives a fukk?
Maybe I’m reading this wrong but you guys all are coming across like you have some sort of agenda to get off. Like it’s okay to talk about the origins of entertainers. It’s okay to talk about how America works and how people end up on certain situations. No one downplayed her accomplishments or said she wasn’t great or it’s something to be ashamed of. Most people with money did not start off broke.

I have no idea what you all are raging about with crab talk. Would I be wrong if I pointed that black people need to go to elite schools to build social networks a lot of white people have just based on their folks? Is that me being envious? Or am I pointing out a fact while we are discussing policy?

You guys are embodying that saying about how despite all evidence to the contrary everyone on America sees themselves as a temporarily displaced millionaire - you’re all in a fit because someone dared point out that a one half of a billionaire family didn’t get it from the mud. Black people living paycheck to paycheck and I see more passion from you guys about Beyonce than anything to collectively help us get out from under that.

Boardwalk and Park Place
Nothing to do with motals
Everything to do with the widened income gap in this country

That hit Black ppl probably more than twice as hard as their white counterparts
Money doesn't make the individual.

That's why you have black men blowing all types of money at strip clubs, jewelry, cars and other bullcrap.

They don't even know what to do with money once they get it.

This is complete utter bullshyt and you must be upper middle class spewing this lmao. I got it from the mud and my future kids won’t have to struggle but come on my g.

I'm upper middle class now but I grew up in a working class environment in the South and I take none of that for granted or look down on the Blue collar worker, the retailer, or person doing what they have to do to get by.

Only our culture has dusty nikkas talking about how lame it is to work a 9 to 5 or calling someone corporate a sell-out or a square. As mentioned before many of us correlate poverty as being authentically Black. fukk trying to appease other people for not "struggling" enough or hiding who I am to make them feel good. We all have our own struggles.

People talk about classism in the Black community but it generally comes from people like this rather than the "Black Boulee" punching down on them.

arguing upper middle class of high class is the dumbest shyt ive heard on here almost

if your dad is making 150k a year in the 80s and your mom owns and operates a business you are fukking rich :russ: doesnt matter what degree at that point

most people in 2022 are making average of less than 40k ... thats like 150 million people still till this day on average, not even speaking on the bottom numbers
her father made as much as 4 people do ... 40 years ago

150k in 1985 is adjusted to
$388,664.50 a year today

thats 7,474$ a week just from one parent... in Texas

For real. We get caught up in the image of some Boujee items with ratchet mentalities. Like the only way that a black person should enjoy luxury is from ratchet activities on some Gucci Mane shyt :snoop:

its the internet....

cats look for something to argue about.....

somebody probably said she never had to struggle cuz she came from $$$....you know how people can be breh :unimpressed:

What's wild is, families have all kinds of dynamics. She may have had an excellent, stable home and had to deal with shyt from time to time. Her dad worked at Xerox so you know there were some things he had to deal with. Why can't people just be happy. You don't have to have the struggle of all struggles to be successful. You don't have to have the struggle of all struggles to be legitimate. You just need to be able to connect with ppl. :yeshrug:

Actually you were in the 1% in the 90's if you had 130k salary and ya wife owned a salon which was probably another 100k if we're being honest. It takes money and lots of residual income to finance your children's entertainment careers. Facts! My son is handsome gang and light skin like my wife, when he was little we looked into getting him on TV and shyt, it takes bread for a talent scout to even look at your kid. You need bread, I dont care how cute you are. This applies to cacs too. All them child actors come from 6 figure households or better. Facts! Riese Witherspoon 1st movie was ghetto white trash but her family is loaded and financed her career now she's a movie star.
That’s not 1% it’s upper middle class not rich or wealthy but very comfortable.
