I'm sure back in the days of chariots and horses, there were the aristocratic chariots and stallions, and the busted down wagons and mules, and there were fine tailored linens that only fancy people could afford, and the cheap stuff everybody wore everywhere.

Same thing as Benzes and Designer Clothes.

In this context it's still "modern"....I'm talkin the days when just creating a fire was the goal

I kinda agree with you. Our lives are really kinda pointless nowadays. I think society in america peaked in the 80's/90's. The only great thing about our current generation is the tech advancement. Everything else is ass and lacks creativity.

I also think the recession and housing market debacle really fukked this country up worst than people would like to believe. If you look at the general price of shyt you need to be comfortable (food, gas, rent in a decent neighborhood) compared to the average mans salary you will get a glimpse into how terrible shyt really is. U basically gotta work ya ass off wether its school and work or you working a job thats stressful as fukk 40+ hrs a week .....and all for what?

At the end of the day you may have saved enough money to retire (if u don't get cancer since everything gives you cancer nowadays) but by the time u that age anyway u ain't gonna be able to live it up and do shyt that is actually fun. U ain't gonna be able to fuc people in the ass and drink ciroc when u 65, u gonna spend ya days knitting and smelling like mothballs or cats. Life is sad when u look at it but Imma just smoke weed, enjoy my time with the fam, and try to get some dookie on my peenus in between all the bullshyt.

Catch me in the safari zone
You aren't very specific with your time frame but saying people really only lived to 40 is only partially accurate. The reason why people died so young is because they got sick with things such as the flu or pneumonia or they got infections and didn't have the proper meds to help them. Plus from epidemics that were going on. Shoot they were even dying just from diarrhea. Still with all of this some people lived till old age.
Id say like 1000 years ago

Lol too @ better food and medicine. The only reason we need strong medicine like we have now is because some trifling living standards breed deadly viruses/bacterium, not to mentiong governments experimenting with uncurable diseases and spreading them worldwide. Billions of fastfood chain dollars spent, but you think food is better?

Smallpox, influenza, ebola etc wiped out many people before there were cures for the shyt. Chances are if you got something we deem insignificant now back then you'd die. I'm much happier getting an inoculation than sacrificing 3 chickens to make sure I don't catch a cold this Winter.

We choose to eat shytty food (sometimes due to cost) when there are fresh healthy alternatives available. We can't blame society and the advances of food processing for that, we can only blame ourselves for continually buying and eating that shyt. People died from scurvy pretty frequently because they did not know what their bodies needed and the quantities they needed it in.

:ehh:

True indeed breh. Especially that part about weed. And minus the part about fukking men in the ass :scusthov:. More and more i been embracing living my life like a rasta, minus the dreads. Ganja, Ital food, my wife and my seeds. Outside of that nothing much matters.

So? :mjlol: You have this warped view that people didn't start practicing medicine until just one-hundred years ago or something. If those diseases(if they even existed ten-thousand years ago, probably not) were some huge epidemic why didn't humans just get wiped out?

Well I guess we don't really know better then. :mjlol: That, or we do, but we just choose to be stupid, in either case that whole point is moot. The general benefit of food processing is so it can be packaged and shipped while retaining freshness over long distances for extended periods of time, not to improve its actual nutritional value. All that gmo fructose corn syrup, but still not enough to feed everybody. Another hit for the 21st centuries better food.

I never said that "medicine" has only existed for the last hundred years. I'm saying that over time not only did we get better at identifying the stuff that cures diseases our bodies got better at fighting infection naturally. Sickle cell is a prime example of the latter.

I agree with your second statement, I think you misunderstood me. There are minimally processed alternatives like vegetables (that don't come in cans or bags), meat, fish etc that all exist alongside the processed crap we choose to consume. So again, we choose to eat crap that is detrimental to our health. We know damn well at this point that a apple is healthier than a bag of Dorito's.
