Stupid ass gender wars , podcast equipment, everybody so quick to cancel or be outraged about something, theres no laughter anymore. Rampant crime everywhere, No wonder it's walking dead out this bytch

Whenever I’m on the verge of a tantrum or panic attack, I just tell myself that I’m going to die someday..this will all be over and I won’t have to deal with anymore shyt…
:manny:

Calms me down instantly…
:wow:

Y’all should try it sometime! Works wonders!
It sounds depressing, but thats because the Western idea of death is depressing.
When you remind yourself that you only get to do this shyt one time, your expectations come back to reality :wow:

All this shyt right here is facts.

My father, can't take it away from him, worked every day and provided and was always present, but this nikka used to give the most HEINOUS beatings with all types of objects. I used to joke about the shyt in class and my teachers used to overhear. I wondered why when I was fukking up and clowning around they would never call home but called everybody else's parents.

One time I was fukking in up one of the male teacher's class and he said he was gonna call my house. I already knew what time it was so I just mentally prepared myself. One of my other teacher's actually went to the teacher that was gonna call home and asked him not to.

Years later, I finally realized that the shyt my pops was doing was NOT normal. And I was making jokes, kekein about the shyt while the adults in the room were listening like :what:. They all knew I was getting abused. I finally realized they was all looking out for me and they saved my ass countless times. :wow:

That's why I can never all the way go in on black women because they were some truly angelic sistas that who looked out and protected me and I didn't even know.

All that being said, when I finally became an adult, I realized there was no way my pops should've been raising children at all. I internalized all that blatant chaos as normal and that shyt was seeping into every aspect of my life. Mom dukes even left the nikka because he spazzed on her one too many times, but even to this day she refused to acknowledge anything wrong with the way we were raised, even though she got the fukk outta dodge so she wouldn't get what I was getting...
Thank you for sharing breh.

Folks need to reflect on their childhood so we don't continue this self destructive cycle.

Glad you were able to figure it out before you crashed out yourself.

Depends on perspective

Boomers and Gen X grew up in times where society was just straight savage.

Hard times create strong individuals.
Hard times create hard people.

Which means they subconsciously have to cut off parts of their own humanity just to survive. Emotions, empathy, and themselves.

That works in certain environments but those same people had children who need the opposite of that regardless of the times.

Now our generation is working with the end result. The course must be corrected or everyone in your lineage will crash and burn resources be damned.

What the hell is going on where everybody today is mentally depressed?:wtf: I understand personal things, but everybody??

Slavery, civil war, factory workers, WW1, the great depression, WW2, Jim Crow laws, Vietnam and the crack epidemic were way worse

Being a child during Y2K then 9/11

Dealing with the rise of social media in our teen
years

Then entering a recession in our early adult years

To finally being gifted a pandemic for turning 30

:mjcry:
Sounds like life in general. Everyone before us had it harder minus the mental impact of social media. Is what it is. Ppl weren't reporting mental issues in the 80s like they do now either....

What’s sad is that alot of adults never get to the point of realizing how fukked up it is getting hit with bats n shyt as a kid and look at it as being tough or what made them a good adult. Salute to you for doing the work breh.

Simplest test everybody faces, without exception, no matter how many avoidance games you may play.

Are you growing, or just getting older?
