Everybody becomes an independent castle of their own. An island in a sea of people....
  • Everybody works remotely, while we ship our in-person jobs to third world countries and immigrants.
  • People are annoying, so we talk to AI chatbots for companionship
  • Tinder is tedious, so women are replaced with VR porn
  • The grocery store is stress inducing, so we use apps to deliver our food
  • Schooling becomes a solitary engagement facilitated by khan academy or WGU clones
  • And Finally, children ae birthed and taken care of by the govt because the young adult population is too busy being childfree and responsibility free to feed another human being
that's a hell of a dystopian novel you got there. Let me feed this to chatgpt and see what it gives me :russ:

on a serious note, it's scary how technology is drifting us apart...and now there's A.I. I give it 3 years before men and women are too busy talking to their perfect virtual mates to talk to each other. Women already have all these toys to replace us, people forget they're closer than we are to this destination

fukk them kids tho. Your seed, you feed

Hell of a breakdown and completely feasible.

Moving and picking people up from the airport has been a thing long before the internet, and so has dumping your kids off on somebody else.

Can't wait to see how all this modern day independence and late stage capitalism plays out
What was the word of 2022? :sas2:

Goblin Mode - a type of behavior which is unapologetically self-indulgent, lazy, slovenly, or greedy, typically in a way that rejects social norms or expectations.”

I can't wait either. Call me petty but it has been a long time coming. This generation is going to find out the hard way what reciprocity means when they turn around looking for helping hand.

it's not hard (to make friends) people are just weirdos

i mean.... look at what is encouraged as acceptable behavior in some of these social situations :scust:

then people turn around and cry about lack of community 🤷‍♀️

Is friendship determined by the ability to solicit favors from someone? It's a serious question. Do you guys decide who your friends are by who you can call for favors?
No and I don’t think that’s the intent of the statement. It’s about a willingness to do something for someone you consider a friend which usually facilities a similar level of caring from the other side. It doesn’t have to be those favors but more about a willingness to show up for others.

For example two of my closer friends are siblings and one was moving. The brother hired movers but had a few things that were delicate and possibly needed my help. They ended up getting it done otherwise but I checked in that day to let them know I was free. They appreciated it and I never had to leave the house.

But that’s part of life and that’s the problem people are trying to completely avoid any connection for fear of being hurt. And then go on to say some catch phrase like “I choose peace” or something.
"that's part of life" is also just a catchphrase

People trying to explain all these data of social norms among young people in terms of psychology like it's a conscious choice rather than the outcome of how society at large is structured by those who hold power. Young people are being subjected to very strange conditions because of the failings of capitalism and then we pretend that a new generation has just "chosen" to have a different mindset from the previous rather than being forced to adapt to unnatural circumstances.

IMO this is why 2pac became such a beloved icon to consecutive generations including the youngest one, because he was the last superstar artist to speak out against this phenomenon on behalf of youth in an articulate way, while producing authentic art after having actually mastered his artform, and did all this exactly as the devastating consequences of the turning of this social tide was becoming undeniably apparent. The current generation don't have such an outspoken icon they can look to to question all these diverse issues. No disrespect to LeBron but he's too corporate to get youngsters to think at that level.

The average social circle is no different than office culture..

These nikkas will gossip your life away worst than the women do...

Sometimes you are saving your own life/peace of mind by being distant or having "situational dealings"..

I referenced(on here before) a social media live my people was watching and these nikkas was online gossiping about who was fukking who...

And thats the "norm" for the average circle of friends these days..

It's nasty out here
