I dont wanna go to work. I do it because I have to, plus I got a family. If i tried to take some bullshyt stand against the system and refused to work, that would show how little I care about my family.

Very few people are fortunate enough to have a job that is gratifying and intrinsically rewarding. It's either that the money is so good it affords them a lavish lifestyle or they are forced to in order to make ends meet.

I was gratified by my job and liked to work but even still I eventually got burnt out. With that said, I think there is something to the point that working can keep people from self destructive behavior. The drinking, unhealthy sleep patterns etc. Part of me knows I need to work in some form of fashion to protect myself from myself.

Only because you can’t imagine life without modern civilization. Originally work was easy. In the Garden of Eden we didn’t need clothes, food was free and we only had one responsibility to watch over the earth. Animals were tame and peaceful and all was in harmony. After sin in Gen 3:17 God cursed humanity with work. Work is the only way to take control of this out of control fallen world. Christians we know that God will make the world right one day. From that time work as we know it will no longer exist.

If you don't pay people what they are worth, they won't work for you. Its really that simple. Our economic system is designed to reward greed though. You're considered successful for 'cutting operating costs'(not paying people enough) and optimizing productivity (cutting their breaks and vacation) as well as restructuring the organization(firing and laying off people) they use certain types of language to obscure the shyttyness of what they're actually doing to people. The most infuriating thing is the media is on their side and won't push back on them. This is an example of how modern news can leave the viewer feeling even more ignorant than they did before they tuned in.

This plus a lot of people died over the last couple of years and a lot of boomers retired.
