"People don't want to work anymore". When did this mindset start?

CertGang here...no regrets, life is great and I love my career.

If you don't have a sense of purpose, of course you wouldn't want to work.

Yea we should just close the largest wealth inequality gap in human history by just saving our $1200 stimulus checks :mjlol:

Just say you hate poor people and move on.

We was discussing the real money and people who racked up $50k+ PPP loans and quite their jobs. Y'all can discuss what to do with that little change. :francis:

You speak some truth.

America is a rat-race. Fueled by competition, greed and capitalism.

Remember the great resignation?
Roughly 47 million people quit their jobs last year: 'All of this is uncharted territory'

People are being fed up with the unfair treatment by egoistical tyrants just for little compensation. Overworked for peanuts is not the wave.
More people are starting to enroll in work from home jobs, others are starting their own business. Making your money, setting your own schedule and not dealing with a toxic environment is crucial for a person's mental health.

Besides, vacation time in the states is very minimal. Compared to working overseas in Europe
Should the U.S. be taking notes from Europe when it comes to PTO?.

Know your value or others will decide for you.
Yup and with Uber/Uber eats, doordash, lyft, skipthedishes, being a instacart shopper ect…

These things don’t pay a lot but at least you get to schedule your own hours and work as much(or less) as you want.

Gen z and millinials are like “if I’m gonna get paid shyt then at least I can control my hours and not have a boss”

*I actually know a fukk ton of ppl that make decent money doing driving/delivery…they work ungodly hours tho

My homie made 60K last year from Uber/lyft and could have made 80K

Yes we should just commit tax fraud to close the wealth gap :mjlol:

Read the the entire dialog between the other poster and myself.

He said "people up and quit their job after receiving stimulus checks and PPP loans"

I said that was stupid because if you received a lump sum of money, while working, you can tighten up your situation at home while bringing home a income. Thats actually how you close a wealth gap, which will take decades of making smart financial decisions.

Then here you come with your out of rhythm comment. :pachaha:

No, again, what year do you live in? :mjlol:

Tightening up the wealth gap by making decades of smart financial decisions :jawalrus:

Why didn't anyone think of that before!

Lemme call up Elon Musk and tell him we're gonna start closing that wealth gap by working hard and investing wisely! I'm sure he'll be shook.

They know those policies are popular thats why they got their lobbyists going ham to scare people. I always say, the terrifying wasteland that they want to scare you with already exists. Its called Canada. They have tighter labor laws, they have legal weed, they have a public option. When you get old, your tax money subsidizes care aides to come in and help you out, you get free physiotherapy, free nursing etc. Because your tax money goes back to you instead of towards your boss so he can get a new yacht. The thing that scares them is enough Americans and politicians refusing to fall for the bullshyt and stealing the ideas that are in use in other countries and bringing them here. Hard to have a net worth of 1 bil or more if the govt will tax stock dividends, property, and loans over a certain amount. The rich in this country think they're slick and they can just move their money around into charities and shyt. Thet exploit loopholes that other countries have tightened or closed. We do the same here and put that money into people, you'll see an explosion in first time home buyers, larger families, reduction in homelessness, crime etc.

They don't want that because they want to use other people's misery as a cudgel to force you to accept scraps. The working class man is afraid of becoming homeless, the middle class man is afraid of becoming working class, the white collar upper class man is afraid of becoming middle class, and the millionaire is afraid of just being a mere six figure earning upperclass man.

Its rich cac propaganda to keep their pockets full. Poor cacs been carrying the flame since because they don't know no better.

If you're financially stupid you can be made equal TODAY with the people you're trying to catch up with and still fall behind. If you try and argue that point then it'll show that you're just trying to argue just to argue. Whether you're trying to close a wealth gap or get ahead in your own personal situation, it starts and end with financial literacy.

Ok do the math then.

You get 50,000 invest it all and turn 1000% profit.
You take that 5,000,000 invest it all and turn 1000% profit
Now you have 500,000,000. That's still less than half of 1% of what Elon Musk has.

Being financially literate to better your personal situation is good, I'm just saying the wealth gap is so obscene there's no amount of wise investing that's going to close that. We need financial reform and to re-instate taxes like they were under Eisenhower, around 50% for companies and up to 90% for mega-rich individuals. People like to blame poor people for being poor, while the mega-rich continue to exploit the system at the expense of everyone else.

When I think wealth gap I don't look at the ultra rich because everyone can't be that. I look for the day that black people in large numbers can earn a decent living, take care of their family, while making sound financial decisions. If that happens in large scale, their would be no ultra rich because they get rich off of peoples lust of consumerism and bad financial decisions.

Yeah those people who only work hard to tell other people they work hard are the biggest cornballs. Only trophy they got is a lingering injury

Even Peter Lynch said he wishes he saw his kids more and the trade off wasn’t worth it when he could’ve just done his investments at home

Also fukk everyone who calls groups of people lazy because they don’t want to undercut already undercut labor (working for Pennies on the dollar) by working for free. fukk you, our people died for human rights and fair labor. We already did the sharecropping, we not going back to that

The people who don't want to work lack passion for life, or are too afraid to take that chance betting on themselves.

For all the people who love exclaiming Bootstraps, can you start a business, even a small one with a team of 5, pay them a living wage, ample vacation time, full benefits?

If not, shut the fukk up. :pacspit:
