I’m conflicted when it comes to them. I had a brother who was schizophrenic. He could have easily been one.

To me, panhandlers found an out on life. Why pay bills, taxes and have responsibilities? Let me get this $25 a day for food, beer and a shelter for a night.

To them, they are winning. To us, they are cheating. To some, they deserve help.

I used to give spare change, and sometimes I would even buy food. Haven't done it in a few years tho. Usually it's the same people everyday, and not only that, I'll give my change to one person, then just 15 feet away or so, there's someone else asking for change, and now I ain't got it. So as to not show favoritism, no one gets anything from me

Plus I just don't really like digging in my pockets in public.
