of course they're going to say that. but you know what would work better (that is if they were really just trying to compliment you on your choice of women)? they should just come up to you and say, "i think your girl looks beautiful, congratulations" and that would be it. if some motherfukker was trying to steal my car and i caught him, you think i'd take it as an honor that some guy decided to jack my car? bullshyt lines like "you should be happy, that's a compliment" is a way of just defusing the situation while trying to make the other guy look like a stand up man when, in reality, he just tried to jack your girl...
