I had a bakery on my old street that used to just dump loafs outside the door in a big clear bag and you would be surprised how people attacked that shyt and they were not homeless. they looked like ravenous dogs tearing the bags apart and grabbing loafs bare hand more than one a time. some people are more about opportunity than shame.

Have you ever considered that it may be a condemnation of how wasteful our society is? If it is gonna get thrown out then why not just lay it out for people to take instead of putting them through the indignation of "dumpster diving"?
