And when we go out with our single friends, we as a couple are damn good wingmen. Some of my friends have nicknamed my wife "Chris Paul" cuz she throws so many alley-oops their way. Now, this is what happens with our respectable friends with social skills who aren't douchebags.
When my wack/douchebag friends want to make plans, I decline or say I'm at home watching Law & Order.

2) Developing questionable habits that they can no longer be part of

I had a friend kinda like you, and I had very honest conversations about his behavior and personality post-graduation. Rather than toss him in the bushes, I stayed close to him to help him fix his issues. He's good now.
