@Chief what language were they speaking and what is the ethnicity of most of those people? indian or a people native to the region? we only see white south africans that sound like garbled australians and black dudes like nelson mandela and zuma

They were speaking Afrikaans, and they are colored basically a racial mix in South Africa

:whoa: I'm black not coloured

What's Coloured?
Also, is it true that most of the folks that got their homes/businesses taken due to Apartheid, have never regained their assets? Also, how many blacks have ownership(homes; businesses) in Johannesburg(SA as well)?

I didn't really live thought apartheid coz I live in a homeland Transkei - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. In never experienced racism there.

So Transkei was kind of a separate state? Sounds interesting.

Does it still exist?

I know I'm asking a lot of questions but I don't know much about South Africa apart from apartheid, Afrikaans, Desmond Tutu and Mandela. I think I studied a little about its history back in high school but not that much.

Transkei was a fake state, they offered Mandela to go there when he was in Robben Island but he refused.

A good book to read would be Long Walk to Freedom
