I worked in the restaurant scene for way too long. I don't know if I'd say people are generally stuck up, moreso just generally pissed off, about work, about life, etc. :manny:

shytty ass work environment especially if you're boss sucks at life. Use to work at a dude's restaurant who prior to working there I would've considered a good friend. I used to pull that fat fukks weight around basically holding the fort down with one other person, open to close 6 days a week while he sat in one at one of the booths in the restaurant spending his time on youtube, facebook and positing arguments to me from said booth about the arbitrary bullshyt conversations being had by :comeon: and :skip: on 1st and 10 on the TV in the restaurant. Dude did not do one fukking thing good for his business, acts lewd and abrasive towards and in front of his customers and then had the audicity to talk shyt, tell others how to properly act and call co-workers out on a lack of work effort. The biggest sociapath/ego induced/ bipolar individual I have ever been around.

Threw that shytty ass job and "friendship" in the bushes :ahh:. Restaurant owners who don't think they god's gift to earth are few and far in between...they don't understand the most intellectual they have to get is making a new food menu  Re-write that appetizers section and go home playboy, I know its been a long tough day:birdman:
Well, you can play dumb but you should know that there is a prevailing stereotype that black people don't tip. Because of this many waiters are hesitant to wait on black tables and they treat black patrons differently. It's even a subject covered on national TV:

Now, if you want to remain oblivious to what I'm talking about, fine, but just know that you're on a black website and most of the people posting here can empathize with my experience as opposed to yours. You may want to clue yourself in to reality before it slaps you in the face in front of all your friends.

Nah, people who work at Armani, or any nice department store are the worst. They think their shyt don't stink just because they have a nice suit on and cater to folks who actually have dough. At the end of the day, all they make is minimum wage.

Im not making this up... very cliquish scene and they act like theyre doing me a favor at all times

Dealing with this restaurant space for work now and the attitude exists from owner down to waiter

I work in a restaurant, and I wholeheartedly confirm this.

I've come across many people who worked at resturants and I will say all managers and owenrs are d-bags and are stuck up. The clickish thing i've noticed as an outsider if you ever been brought to one of there parties people almost look annoyed there's an outsider there. I've always found it odd that people who work at resturants all there friends are people who work in that resturant for the most part which I find a little odd.

As far as them being stuck up I don't really feel that way but I could see it happening because in that bubble they might be cool and get all the new chicks working there I can see that distorting your value.

I used to work in the service industry. Sometimes it's cool, sometimes it sucks. If you're good looking and a waiter, it's fukking awesome because you get to smash on the cute ass waitresses or some of the hotter customers coming in. On the other hand you get some a$$hole customers that think that you're their servant, and act like because you're working they get to treat you like shyt. Now I completely understand things like, "Hey, this food is a little cold," or, "Hey, I asked for mashed potatoes, not french fries," but if you're kind cawk gobbler that comes in five minutes before closing to ask for a three-course meal while pinching the waitresses asses, being generally loud and drunk, and leave a shytty tip, yeah, we're going to look at you like a piece of shyt, because you're acting like a piece of shyt.

Also, people in the service industry understand each other. People from different establishments meet each other, hook up, get each other deals at each other's restaurants, and develop a sense of community because they know what others in their community go through. It's not an easy job, and I've had some pretty shytty jobs.
