I was raised in a devout christian home (no halloween, no going out on fridays because we had to go to prayer service, church on sunday -- both services, no secular music, etc), though I was always one that liked what they called "secular" living more than most that lived in a similar situation. Not sure if it's because my house had more rules. Now I'm a legal adult, and now starting my own search for the truth (or lack of one) alot of people in my life who are devout christians keep asking me why I don't attend church often, or whether I pray bfore I go to bed, or what was the last bible verse I read. I'm not an atheist, and not even sure if I"m agnostic, but shyt ain't right with the church community and frankly don't want to worry myself with it, so I decide to leave.

I just wish Christians would stop putting tabs on me making sure that my faith is still the same as theirs :stopitslime:

You just have to not care what people think. They will always ask questions if you were one way, then made a drastic change with anything. Besides being nosy with some Christians, they are genuinely concerned about your soul and you losing your way. If you really feel like its not for you right now or ever again you will have to get use to it. Especially being a female

What I'm hearing is that the way your were brought up, and the pressure from people in the community is what's pushing you away from the church. Don't let that be the deterring factor. If you're not sure of your faith then that's fine, take some time and figure it out. But don't let those holier than thou people push you away.

Church has been good to me...I learned how to play the piano to the Glory of God and more importantly it's helping me to avoid the hell fire.

The devil has taken over your life, I bet your boyfriend eats ass :scust:

DON'T READ INTO IT TOO MUCH. THEY'RE PROBABLY WORRIED ABOUT YOU. PEOPLE USUALLY DON'T CHANGE THEIR BELIEFS UNLESS SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS. SO IT KINDA NATURAL FOR PEOPLE TO ASK.
