I'd don't think he'd run in 2020, he's got way too many movies in production right now and if Black Adam becomes a hit he'll definitely show up in future JL movies etc. Not to mention he still needs to have one final match and go into the hall of fame etc.

I feel the chances of Dwayne with his "I pulled myself up from my bootstraps with $6 in my pockets" backstory caring about what I care about being very low. When he has to make actual societal positions, we'll see how the popularity stands then.
He would have had a better chance following Obama as he'd constantly be compared with a fairly popular president. Following the likely least popular president in history, Rock will be compared to Trump as a celebrity candidate. The left would subject him to purity tests, making it tough for any Clintonian centrist, and there arent enough Islanders to bring him to the GOP, and he'd both not denigrate blacks enough for them like Cain & Carson, nor would a center-right Dwayne Johnson turn black voters Republican.
