Its definitely up there. It was before my time but my first time watching this show was in 09. I knew from the first 20 minutes this was some different shyt i aint ever seen before. When it got to this scene at the end and then the shootout, i was like :whoo:. And this was the fukking pilot. I done watched every fukking episode at least 300 times since. Every episode damn near got a future movie or tv star in it before their time. The fashion, music, cinematography, car chases, shootouts, etc...I havent seen a show like it since. They captured a world and time i definitely wished i could have partied in :wow:

It was nuffin like this show.
My best friend mom was the cool queen of this show in the neighborhood. As she watched this and the other parents did not. So on sleep over she would let us watch her tapes and explain the show to us.

Then she hit us with the trivia?
What was tubbs real name and rico was not it.

So i still wish i knew the answer but i never became a show expert or watcher.
This show was actually adult tv and back then. It was rhe holy grail of late night to be able to even see it.
As most kids in that era had a bedtime and the content was way way out of our realm.

-I don't know why they're saying kids today, I'm from that era & this scene isn't the greatest. The "I might not be coming home" scene has been done 1,000 times. I'm curious what their reasons are on IG but I ain't signing up for this.

Where you even old enough.
to watch this show when it aired.
No kid i knew watched this show...this is before urban decay and divorce gen america. When we did have real bedtimes tho.

it is pretty epic from just about any standpoint you look at it. I dont know if it's the greatest ever...but it for sure captured most of the elements that we loved about Miami Vice in a short clip.

The I in Team
For context they didn’t use licensed artist‘s music on television prior to this scene. It’s a literally changing of the guard culturally.

That definitely was a dope ass scene! Miami Vice was a cold ass show bit I don’t remember too much from it. Now I want to watch the series again.

Now this scene here is iconic to me. And it inspired one of my favorite scenes from Married with Children

My corny ass was outside at night literally walking a couple blocks so I could edit a video and add that song when I was in Miami a couple years ago :dead:

As someone who only really heard about Miami Vice but never warched it, this shyt definitely surprised me.

Cinematography/atmosphere/Visuals goin crazy. That shot of the hood of the car as they drive and the lights goin by is not some shyt I expected from an 80s series

Miami Vice? Michael Mann clearly was behind that scene. He did a similar scene in Collateral with Audioslave's Shadow on the Sun.
