It’s up there. Shows now use music all throughout episodes but this was the og at it. The Sopranos acknowledged the use of their music stems from this scene.

Iconic scene. Perfect music to cinematography corrélation. If you werent around at the time the effect of the scene can’t be explained.

Even the music and its significance. Can not be duplicated.
in regards to relevence of how it made it.
into that scene as well.
Crockett calls to see if it was real.
With one of the realest songs evrr made about marriage. Plus just the quiet storm aspect. To this day from this scene. All i really wanna do is drive a souped up coup with this type of music on a atretch of urban road with the top down. Little would i know. That when i was a kid. That i would not be able to even call this past love. This scene kinda set me up.
to solve life issues by taking a drive. Which when i was in chicago. I used to do nightly after the club every night. Especially after my gf was killed. Then i would be in my head about being single.
So scene kinda saved my life before i had a life.
It gave a simple solution to life's hard issue for me to use.
as kid way before i came of age as a teen.
or adult and i have used this trick.

to my betterment since then.

-Pretty sure there were never universal bedtimes & this show was always on in the house.
-Is this what they're discussing on IG? Nobody was watching this show because it was the first to use licensed music.

Its definitely up there. It was before my time but my first time watching this show was in 09. I knew from the first 20 minutes this was some different shyt i aint ever seen before. When it got to this scene at the end and then the shootout, i was like :whoo:. And this was the fukking pilot. I done watched every fukking episode at least 300 times since. Every episode damn near got a future movie or tv star in it before their time. The fashion, music, cinematography, car chases, shootouts, etc...I havent seen a show like it since. They captured a world and time i definitely wished i could have partied in :wow:

yeah I streamed it several times as well. It looks ahead of its time
