Netflix ratings are based on what they think you like
You can log into 2 separate accounts and the same movie will have 2 different ratings depending what you have watched and how you rate the movies
Like if i log into my account all horror stuff is like 1 or 2 stars cause i never watch horror shyt and the ones i have seen i gave them a low rating but on my brothers account the same movies will have 4 or 4 1/2 stars
So if classic movies have low scores that says something about the movies you watch and have rated before
