It's not helping.
who's to say his class isn't the only positive thing going on at that "poor" school.

anyway i like how he separates outside the classroom from inside the classroom. we'll have a little fun outside, but when you get inside we mean business.

The test scores of that school is pathetic. The parents of those kids should feel ashamed

I don't even blame the teachers. Teachers can't teach shyt when the kids have no foundation.

So school isn't supposed to be fun and engaging, actually studies have shown that celebrating individualism and promoting critical thinking lead to higher scores and better retention on average.

I think it just proves that the learning process that people thought worked for kids is not perfect. Some think boys learning with girls is always the best situation.....not the case. Some would think uniforms is the answer.....NOPE.....not every time. Everybody is different and needs a different type of learning environment. It just shows that no human has the perfect solution for anything. We're flawed.

Dayum kids just cant have fun.

Some people just don't understand with teaching in todays society...sometimes u have to be creative, innovative, or just step outside the box and adjust with times. WTF was the issue? Those kids weren't in the classroom seated...but entering class. Those handshakes just a part of the teacher using his individuality and charisma to connect with the students. Connecting with the students provides a platform for more engagement, learning, and teaching them both textbook material and real life shyt which will be of higher value once they graduate HS and get into real world...depending on their career.

We as humans are very flawed and individualistic. What works for some may not work for others and everybody don't learn on the same pace...that includes academic material/book smarts, social skills, common sense, finding urself and where u fit in, etc.

I understand your point but its a tad bit flawed. You got to factor in budget cuts, books dating back to the Bush Sr era, lack of engaging programs for students to interact, common core mathematics, and pretty much no control whats so ever of the school system. I applaud those kids for at least getting a damn D. Schools are becoming a glorified daycare with restrictions out of the ass.
