Normal and not a big deal, or absurd and cringe inducing?

E.g. someone posting a video of their dog and pretending to speak in its voice 'my mom likes it when I'm a good boy and don't bark while we're in the car'

Or

"You're cat is lucky to have such a good dad!"

Its usually women i see talking like this, especially white washed or Caucasian women. But im starting to notice men talking like this online and it just comes off as sad, creepy and embarrassing to me to hear or see grown people talking like that.

To me a pet is a friend, or it is a tool. You aren't a parent for taking care of an animal, and it feels insulting to people who actually are responsible for raising the next generation of human beings and take that responsibility with the level of seriousness it needs.

It's gone way too far. It tends to be dog people, but not all pet owners are above it. They're elevating a pet's life to that of a human, and/or devaluing human life to that of a pet. You can debate the moral and philosophical points about that, but the fetishiization of pets is arguably mental illness.

People want to argue that LGBT is the slippery slope into normalizing beastiality and shyt? No, the anthropomorphization of animals, treating them like children or people - even better, that's what's normalizing it. I've loved all the cats I've had, but at the end of the day, they were just pets. I've tolerated all the dogs I've had, but at the end of the day, they were just pets. When you start taking it beyond that, you might have some issues to work out.

Once I saw a white couple pushing a pram with a dog inside, I knew from that moment we could never co-exist with these people.

Huge red flag for me when I see that kind of behavior. I've been noticing it more frequently. If I'm talking with a woman and she starts talking about her dog like its a child and she's spending thousands to keep it in daycare and dressing it up like a child?
