I like specialty streamers, people that provide commentary on games or do news or show parts of the world I haven't been to yet.

I understand there are things I won't "get" because I don't engage in it but I genuinely don't see the appeal of watching streamers
The two closest forms of media that I consume are podcast and reality tv. Podcasts discuss specific topics that are relevant for whatever niche they serve and reality tv shows "world build" and even develop fake storylines within the universe
Is a streamer basically reality tv without the world building or storylines combined with a podcaster that just talks about themselves?
