People treating star wars like Religion/Gospel unappreciation

so its about that time again were we're blessed with a new star wars movie so theres a surge in everything Star Wars.

im no stranger to this myself, im nerding out as we speak in various Star Wars YouTube video comment sections.

but yeah...im taking a step back and looking at this from a distance.... this culture of Star Wars obsession and just obsession in general looks very unhealthy.

people are literally treating fiction like its religion with all these 'theories' and conjecture. how do you invest and deliberate so much effort into something thats fiction and not even actual history. now i understand why my Dad didnt want me reading comic books and other works growing up; your literally playing pretend with yourself!


i just watched a 45 minute video on a Luke Skywalker Character analysis.

i just watched a 2 hour video on darth plagueis

Luke Skywalker wasnt real!

Luke Skywalker never walked this earth!

You literally wasted 3 hours of your life on analysis videos and it's these other people who have the problem???


I don't really fukk with star wars like that. Saw the first 3 from the 70s and 80s and left it alone after that. Don't understand what the problem is with people enjoying it. I think it's odd to be so critical of a group people, the franchise is over 40 years old and is still going strong obviously it's popular and resonates with fans.

breh its just fun to theorize with like minded people on a topic you enjoy. i like watching star wars versus battles on YouTube and reading the debates about who would beat who. Hell right now im watching someone do a lets play of the knights of the old republic 2 doesnt feel like a waste to me . I suggest you take a break though if its bothering you that much

You are part correct the Empire is well colonial Europe which is why alot of villains had dutch names like Newt gunrey. The stormtroopers are based on the KKK also.

But the underling theme with the Jedi and Sith is the need for balance in one's self. See Anaikin's journey.

You have a lot of time on your hands. Sarcasm aside, reviews/theory videos are supposed to Be 30-45 mins long. It’s not different from YouTubers reviewing Love and Hiphop. We know it’s fake but it’s entertainment. Some take it toooooo serious
