I grew up in this era. I am NOT clamoring to return to it either :camby:

Why not? It was magical going to the store on the day your favorite rappers album dropped. And seeing all the other cool CDs in the rap section and sometimes you'd buy one simply for the guest appearances on it.

And there was no autotune then

Regarding the listening stations...how did that work as far as germs go? Were there antibacterial wipes next to each station? I wouldn't want to put my ears where so many others have been. Just curious...

"nikka you want old shyt all the time :mjlol: "

My mindset was "just gimme something not wack:damn: "

I used to steal all my music.

Swiping a new tape, running home or to your friends house to unwrap, play it, dub it and stack it with the rest of your collect just don't hit the same as a torrent

shyt…last time I remember using a cd player I was like 18 or 19. That was fifteen years ago. Crazy how quickly that tech became obsolete…that’s because at that point we already had iPods and smart phones were in their infancy.

I had a shyt load of music on my computer but there were times when a young foo just couldn’t go home, so I had my cd player and books to entertain me :mjcry:
