There was a high of 1.6 million border apprehensions in 2000, and that dropped to about 310,000 in the 2017 budget year . A 2017 Homeland Security report found that the number of “known got aways”— an estimate Border Patrol agents developed — fell from 600,000 in 2006 to roughly 106,000 in 2016.In contrast, Homeland Security found that 700,000 foreigners who came by plane or ship overstayed their visa from October 2016 to September 2017. The department has not consistently tracked how many foreigners overstayed their visas in recent years.
At the most 700,000 ppl over stayed their visa who came by plane or ship.
If you really believe that less then 700,000 people cross the border every year God bless you
Overstays accounted for only 34 percent of illegal entries into the U.S. in 2004 but by 2014 they made up 66 percent of new entries.
I'm saying that not having a solution for the majority of illegals means you not really trying to solve the problem...Stop being disingenuous breh. If 40% of illegals are coming from one country, they're an outlier. Plain and simple.
You gotta be Hispanic![]()
having a solution for BOTH would mean you're about real business...
go ahead and look into the politics and motivations of those who don't though...
I actually follow politics... the Mexico situation is just ramping up support for people who wont do shyt but keep it as a carrot on a stick...
if I see policy that addresses the ENTIRETY of the situation... then I know it's real...
there's a reason why so many people in this thread have very strong opinions about illegal immigration...
but don't even know shyt about VISA overstays at all... mexico is the focus by design to just be an emotional distraction...
