Nah I hear you fam. I came up as an 80s /90s gamer so I know when to put the sticks down after a couple hours of decompression.
It's those cats like Kyler "I'll study my playbook after this online session, I promise!" Murray who game all night eating Funyuns and drinking Mountain Dew while shirtless and oblivous to real life that spawned the "Gamers are losers" stereotype.

I was a gamer in the 90s too but I played sports so I couldn't be on the sticks like Dat in HS, plus I had other hobbies. College I gamed to decompress and socialize. Plus I was running the yard in Tekken.
At Morgan State University I seen so many freshmen drop out cause they would be in McKeldon on the bottom floor all day playing video games like there was no tomorrow and watching anime. shyt was sad.

I’m got a tech job, acing my Electrical Engineering courses, happily married, own houses and still game.
Got to step that time management skill up. I see how much time I spend on video games at the start of each week. It’s actually a cheap hobby when you find games you love to play and has been scientifically shown to have benefits on the brain. Marvel vs Capcom 3 purchase way back in 2011 still getting run from me 14 years later.
