I love those cold cases they solve decades after. Forensics/DNA wasn't that advanced back in the day so dudes were extra reckless with leaving fluids/DNA. They thought as long they avoid leaving prints they were good.

My fav was this old man who was recently arrested for a double shooting of law enforcement on a highway back in like 1965..in another state. When they finally knocked on his door to arrest him he was

Some of the dope fiends/crackheads that people see out in the street, are people who ran the streets and shot/killed people when they were younger. Never got caught, but the mental toll eventually lead them to hard drug use.

As much as you see dudes promote that heartless energy, we are human beings and killing people will haunt you forever. Military men, and the small % of people who are stone killers would be the exceptions, I guess. But a lot of vets aren't right when they come home either.

Episode after I want to say wife killed her husband or husband killed the wife and he did 4-5 years. I was like .

That's cake. I can afford to do 4-5 right now if that's all I'll get.

most murders aren't unsolved. i already knew this by the sheer amount of snitching that is prolific but i googled it just to be certain and yeah. most murders arent unsolved.
idk about rapes, i think a lot of rapes aren't even reported

Im more interested in how they live with that fact of knowing they killed someone and will forever have a vivid image of a dead body in their head.

Im guessing it requires one to be wired a certain kind of way upstairs to be able to shrug it off and put it at the back of your mind.
