Ok, so you just flat out came in here to make it all about you. See, again, as a parent, I would never take advice from someone as childish as you pun intended. You thought you could come in here and try and pull a slick one on me, as like a gotcha, but when I offered rebuttal and pointed out the flaws in your assertation you just decided to pout and throw a tantrum instead of try to offer a counter argument.

Idk I’ve gotten some good advice from childless people. It’s not rocket science. Then again my children are well behaved and follow instruction easily so I guess it’s different when you have bad kids that don’t listen.

I have been on both sides. Most of parenting is pretty common sense and obvious (if you are healthy and mature) and you dont need kids to see it. I have seen some downright shytty parents in my life. Aint like you need qualifications. All you gotta do is screw.
That said, certain aspects of this shyt you just dont get until you are in it. There is something different when they asses aint never leaving

was always gonna treat the kid like my own, obviously not over stepping the boundaries as an uncle. I highly suggest it to anyone looking to have kids. Not everything you learn will apply, but it gives you some insight on how to handle certain situations that will be more effective in the long run.

That I should take into consideration how big of an impact the word “no” with no explanation has on them when asking for something they want. My kids never argue, but they do look sad if I tell them they can’t have something and I always feel bad. So I’ve started telling them not right now, after dinner etc then I explain to them why they should wait so now I get a “ok thank you” instead of a “okay
