The short woman not wanting to date a man under 6 feet sounds like a strong preference to me. One that she will almost surely relent on when she meets the right person. Being 6 ft tall is fairly arbitrary, not to mention most adult men I know are either 6 ft tall or somewhere dangerously close to it.
In my own situation I normally stand pretty strong about a person's personality. I get really turned off by ratchet tendencies. Since I grew up around it I can detect it really quick. My friends convinced me that I was too quick to cut people off so I ended up dealing with 4 months of

I agree they are leagues apart, but you asked a subjective question so its hard to go straight up apples to apples. My wife has mentioned to me that she was attracted to me because of my height and build. She feels 'protected' even though we are hardly ever in any situation (none in our entire 5 yrs) in which she was ever physically in danger.
I'm saying for myself what I consider a requirement is different than her. The height thing I don't understand, but people have told me they don't understand why I'm super uptight about people's behavior.
